Dorion is home to Canada's largest suspension bridge and to Eastern Canada's deepest Canyon -Ouimet Canyon. (Due to the coming 4-laning of Highway 11/17, we no longer have our wonderful 5000 sq. ft. wild life mural painted on the side of Canyon Country Service), but visitors can trek across the 600 ft suspension bridge at Eagle Canyon Adventures and take a hike in Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park . There are also many other attractions in the area including waterfalls, conservation areas and a vast back country for you to explore the many other canyons and rock formations found in the area. Explore Dorion and experience northern adventure at its finest. Check out the Explore Dorion video and the new digital slideshow of Dorion. For regional tourism information visit the North of Superior Tourism Association website.
Ouimet Provincial Park has walkways consisting of boardwalks and trails, which lead to viewing platforms overlooking the canyon. Visitors to the canyon should stay on the marked trails for their own safety.
